Calderdale & Huddersfield NHS Foundation Trust
Chief Operating Officer
Managing Director, Digital Health

Thank you for your interest in joining us here at the Calderdale & Huddersfield NHS Foundation Trust (CHFT) in lovely West Yorkshire.

We are an integrated Trust of 6,000+ colleagues working in two hospitals - Huddersfield Royal Infirmary and Calderdale Royal Hospital - and also in Community located on the edge of the glorious Pennines countryside and also halfway between the cities of Leeds and Manchester.

We are celebrating a tremendous year of achievement and providing compassionate care for our patients and their families. We are among the top performing Trusts for Emergency and Cancer care and we are widely acknowledged as being a national digital lead when it comes to caring for people across our local and regional systems. In addition to this, we already have a ‘good’ CQC rating and have worked hard to manage our fiscal responsibilities.

Although challenged by the pandemic across many parts of the care we provide with our partners, we have still managed to be amongst the best in England when it comes to cancer waiting times.

At the core of our achievement is our people and our commitment to support one another as a part of One Culture of Care. We know how important it is that colleagues care for themselves and each other in order to provide outstanding compassionate care to our patients. That is why we are looking for two exceptional, compassionate leaders to join us at CHFT and help us continue on our journey to ‘Outstanding.’

We are about delivering Compassionate Care underpinned by our four pillars which are: We Put the Patient First, We work together, We do the must do’s, We go see. So let’s take a quick look at the roles.

Our Chief Operating Officer heads up the delivery of care across all five divisions keeping the day to day running of our hospital and community services on track to provide the best, safe, quality care for our patients and their families.

Our Managing Director, Digital Health heads up the delivery of our Digital Health Strategy as well as running our health informatics service, keeping us at the forefront of quality digitally-supported healthcare.

Both successful candidates roles will succeed two colleagues who have led and transformed by example taking our teams with them to shape and deliver strategy and change founded on an unwavering commitment to performance and quality.

I’m delighted you’re reading this so if you see yourself sharing this vision and want to be part of the future at our Trust I very much look forward to hearing from you.
